OrchidIvyTherapies provides a creative drama workshop for schools that help children work on academic subjects and social skills (from KS1

to KS4).

Big History – Little Theatre currently has a focus on Black History.  Significant figures from the past as well as those current are championed and celebrated through drama, in an interactive and fun way.  ‘Big History’ explores the character, talent, work and legacy of significant historical figures.

‘Little Theatre’ is the provision of drama delivered in the educational setting.  Adaptations are made to general content, language and duration of the session, according to the age range of the children.  A variety of drama styles are utilised, eg. mime and exaggerated body language. Therefore, children with SEND are also able to access and benefit from the workshop.  The duration of the workshop is a maximum of 1 hour.

Each workshop is tailored to the year groups of the audience – (This information will be required on the booking form.)

National Curriculum learning objectives, in PSHE, are included in the planning of outcomes from the workshop.  The educational aims of each workshop is detailed for each session and available for your reference.
